This was my lunch today. (Step by step inside)
Felt like having breakfast for lunch today, so I took a trip to the butcher’s. Got some scrapple, eggs from a local farm, and bacon ends. What are bacon ends you ask? Well they are huge chunks of bacon instead of useless little slivers.
It’s like bacon jerky.
Make sure your frying pan is preheated otherwise your scrapple will turn to mush. The Scrapple takes the longest to cook, so I waited till I had to flip them, then threw in the bacon.
At the same time I started the eggs in a seperate pan.
Once the eggs and bacon were done, the layering begins. Eggs on top of scrapple, then the bacon, and finally topped with cheese of your liking.
That little serving is for my dog Gus.
He happens to be the most jalop dog ever.

You ass, I'm hungry now - why is there not a restaurant serving scrapple egg bacon and cheese sandwiches?

There really should be.

I'm not entirely sure what scrapple is (and I am far too lazy at this point to use my Google-fu) but it looks delicious and I am now hungry. Thanks for that.

You don't want to know what's in it, just know that it is delicious. I think it is a very regional food as I can never find any place serving/selling it outside of eastern PA.

Hmm and now I am even more intrigued.

At first I read Scrabble, and I thought "hmm, that must be crunchy."

But y u no overeasy eggs? Looks pretty good otherwise. We have a similar product to scrapple in NC called livermush. Pretty much the same thing but maybe a bit more cornmeal. I remember scrapple being a bit more meaty.

I did flip the eggs, but I cook them all the way through. I hate a runny yolk.
Have never heard of livermush. I'll have to keep an eye out for it.

Because Mars is ruled by a giant lobster and the water supply is actually carbonated.
Life is futile.
